History of the swimming pool
The construction of the swimming pool began in 1938. The war interrupted all work. The swimming pool was inaugurated on 20 August 1948. Only the swimming pool was finished. The construction of the changing rooms and all landscaping continued for three more years. Another major reconstruction took place in 1995 and the swimming pool today meets the demanding aesthetic and, above all, hygienic criteria. The water in the new pool is heated. Two swimming pools and a 92-metre-long water slide serve the public.
According to the categorization of swimming pools, the Litomyšl swimming pool was awarded a certificate with four stars out of five possible.
