This year, we've lined up a few opportunities for the public to check out the education festival and get a kick of inspiration. On Sunday, February 23, we'll be kicking off with short inspirational talks in the Castle Riding Hall at 2pm. There will be a total of six speakers on the topic of education.

Martin Jaroš will fly to the festival from Qatar

Marketing guru Martin Jaroš will fly in from Qatar. You will be familiar with his TV commercials, such as the one with Chuck Norris, and you may also read his glosses on Facebook. His lecture is guaranteed to entertain you as much as his TV commercials. The next speaker will be Ondřej Kania. A man who has sent hundreds of Czech students to study abroad through his company. He owns a network of primary and secondary schools and in 2019 Forbes magazine included him in the prestigious European selection of 30 under 30. Jan Hábl will talk about the Komenský 2020 project. Even 350 years after Komenský's death, are his words that humanity is not completely lost valid? The minimum salary for a new teacher will be CZK 50 000 from March this year. Yes, this is unfortunately facenews. But how to recognise it and what is media education? Sylvia Lauder will be talking about this in her 20-minute talk. The world we live in is changing at an incredible speed. Vladimír Dobeš will reflect on what this means for schools and whether they have any chance of keeping up with the current pace. Do you like to learn outside? Petr Daniš has prepared 5 reasons why it's better outdoors. To us, it also sounds like an original guide to saving money on heating bills in schools.

Martin Veselovsky will be replaced this year by Daniela Drtinova

On Monday, February 24, at 18:00, the public can look forward to the filming of the DVTV internet television interviews. This year, Daniela Drtinová will ask questions on the topic of education. We do not know the names of the guests yet, but we will gradually publish them on the conference website and Facebook page @nakopnete.svoji.skolu.

For the first time this year, tickets for all lectures and the reception

For those who want to see and hear even more, we have prepared a special festival ticket this year. It will get you into the Sunday lectures and the Monday DVTV filming, plus the Monday morning block of expert lectures. The ticket also entitles you to entry to the Monday evening social evening with a banquet and the evening programme in the riding hall.
Tickets for all programmes can be purchased in advance at the information centre on the square or online at the festival website www.nakopnetesvojiskolu.cz.
